Wegmans LPGA

On my way to the bowling extravaganza, I got a call requesting my interest in a job that just opened up. A player, dissatisfied with the performance of he current looper, needed a replacement for the week starting with the pro-am this morning. Not hitting on that multi-million dollar lottery back in New Jersey and with no rich relatives about to kick, I took it. Our five obligatory pro-am hours went without a hitch and I made some “tippage” to boot, even though everyone had a bag-toter. Must have been my delightful personality.

If you’ve noticed, and I’m sure you have, the player has remained nameless. I’m going to leave it that way till the end of the week just to add a bit of speculation to the mix. To many, it will be quite a surprise especially for a particular group of message board hacks.

What time is it? ’Getting to know each other’ small talk usually occupies the dialog on the first tee of the pro-am and today was no different. One question sent in my direction was the length of time the pro and myself have been together. After a quick peek at my timepiece, it didn’t take long to figure out. I stunned ‘em with “About forty-five minutes.”

You can feel the love: What a blast we all had on the lanes last night! This get-together seems to get bigger each year with a great mix of players and caddies. I don’t know which team won or who took individual honors but I don’t think anyone gave a hoot.

This love is off limits.

Louie Paolini finds a long lost relative or a “Bizzaro World” moment?

Looking for a few good men or women: With the retirement of a couple LPGA rules officials in the offing, a call has gone out to any players or caddies interested to take on the rigors of dealing with 200+ competitive women on a day-to day basis. A meeting covering the dirty details will be held in Toledo at the Jamie Farr.

No room at the inn: That’s what many caderos are finding when trying to secure lodging for Evian, unless they’re willing to pony-up big bucks for a night’s stay. Anything reasonable is long gone.

Congrats on the new bag! There are about four dozen possibilities I could guess as to your new employer, so I will just look for your hat on ESPN2!

  2. Tom Says:

I’m assuming it’s a Korean player. That does not narrow it down much.

  3. Tom Says:

    Larry,

Are you saying that you’ll need to learn a little Korean?

  4. rick Says:

My guess on love britches is D. D’Alessero (spelling)

Hi larry… we stayed at a privete condo in Thollon last year for 75ish per night US. We found it by being diligent on the internet. There is a real estate office there that deals in short term rentals. Thollon is up the mountain above the course by the ski lift, its only 15 minutes to the course. Your up high so the view are beautiful. Check it out

Oh, you gotta give us some clues!!! Did you start front,/back or early/late today?????

  7. hendrik Says:

I’m guessing from your clues she’s a Soeul sister.
I’ll go with a rookie (very) high on the money list,
maybe with a hyphen in her name?

  8. Lt. Columbo Says:

Unless Larry withholds what his player shoots every round, we may be able to zero in on whose bag he’s toting this week.

  9. rick Says:

This may help us if you can provide some answers to; were you put on the clock today? Was her Dad in the gallery? Does her hat sponsor need translation? Does she not care about Solheim points?

  10. rick Says:

ok gang…narrowed it down to M. Lee-Kang-S. Lee-Ji-Oh- or Tseng…….might be able to X a few of those off if we cross Larry’s board moderation with the tee sheet…..instead of CSI we now have LLI (Larry’s Loop Invertigation)

  11. Alan Says:

    Maybe it’s Michelle Wie ;)

What a response! I may try this every week.

Diana D’Allesio is a good guess Rick but not a winner. “Love britches” is our lovely hostess and caddie for Jennifer Rosales, Donna “Wanna” Earley.

Clues Kim? OK. Front nine in the morning or was it the back in the afternoon? This is what Labatt Blue Light does to your brain. Don’t drink and bowl is my advice.

Thats a good idea Lt. Think I’ll do it.

  13. Lt Columbo Says:

Excuse me sir, just one more question. The last two times I saw Donna wanna working, she was carrying the bag of golfer Christina Kim. How does Donna caddy for Christina and Jenny when are both entered in the same tourney?

  14. Lt Columbo Says:

Just one more question, are you working for Christina Kim this week?
