The Open-An Alternative

Moved a lot closer to my final destination. Bivouacking in Springfield MO.

On my way down, I spotted a billboard proclaiming Lasik $68. Thank god the fine print said per month.

More Open observations: Twenty-seven players under par after two rounds? The greens must be dartboards. Is this set up like just another KLPGA, oops, LPGA event?

Not like Juli Inkster to post a +8 yesterday. She is one of the fiercest competitors on tour. One of my favorites, Heather Daly-Donofrio, suffered an equal fate along with Laura Davies. Natalie didn’t fare much better shooting just one blow less.

How about Sherrri Turner? Affectionately known to some as “Grandma,” she’s holding her own at level par. Go Granny!

Good come-back by Leta Lindley to make it on the nose.

The “geek” in me, to the rescue: The husband/wife housekeeping team at the Plaza Motel just purchased a $2000 laptop which was now no better than a doorstop. They lamented that after having it tweaked by two different helpers, concerning the the removal then reinstallation of Norton Security, failure of an Internet connection was an ongoing state of affairs. I took a look and recommended reinstalling the OS. After a couple hours of doing just that, including all updates and downloading AVG Free, it was humming like new. Even adjusted the touch pad for locking drags and less sensitivity.
