After checking-in to one of the best motel deals of the season yesterday, I walked the course and even though two inches of rain fell the the day before, it was sopped up nicely by the thirsty turf. More grass on the greens is an obvious improvement over last year but it will be of no consequence a few days from now. They’re going to tear it all up after we leave for a complete makeover.
A bird in the hand … Picked up Jean Bartholomew for the qualifier but before we even started practicing, a last minute trip home by Hee Young Park’s caddie had her looking for a looper and I picked up the bag. Put in a few hours practice in the afternoon and our day was done.
Right back at it: After her superb showing at The Open, you would think Stacy Lewis would lay low for at least a day, but you would be wrong. She put in a couple hours of practice preparing for this week’s event.

Glad you picked up a good player this week! She also seems to be a very nice young lady.

Larry, looks like you have a pretty good “Up and Comer” for this tournament. Looking at her stats she may need more putting practice, but she doesn’t seem to be doing too badly for the little experience she has on the LPGA tour. Good Luck!

Please extend a congratulations to Michelle McGann, who announced late last week that she is engaged. Hope she has a good tournament this week. It was nice seeing her and some of the other vets of tour—RARICK, JOHNSON, LOPEZ—at the LPGA stop in Pittsford.

As a somewhat steady reader of your site/blog, I am glad you got the bag of a promising young player. Appreciate the time and effort you put into Life on Tour. Good luck.

Good bag, Larry. Your best shot at making some real $$$ is with a Seoul Sister, as long as you learn to say “Yes,Dad, whatever you say” in Korean.
