Bivens reportedly was nervous and anxious when Morgan Pressel eagled the 17th hole and tied for the lead during the final round of the Jamie Farr Classic.
However, when Yi prevailed during the playoffs and defeated the upstart American, the Commisioner breathed a sigh of relief. Her plans to deliver the LPGA to her Korean masters were back on track…

Why was Yi winning in a playoff another nail in the coffin? Or am I being really naive?

Every win by a Korean is more justification that what Commissioner Bivens is doing is correct. Bivens wants to take the LPGA out of the USA and hand it over to the Koreans (or Asia in general).
The way things look, there will be only 10 LPGA events in the USA next year (2010)….

Larry, I didn’t see J-Ro’s regular caddie this week. Is she OK?

The “Asian Invasion” began with Se Ri and a few years after she won the Open the first wave of Koreans hit the LPGA. This was the likes of: Kimmie, Hee Wan, Gloria Park, Grace Park etc. These players won at a fairly steady pace. in the late 90’s and early 00’s. I see their names on the money list…but generally these players are not winning anymore. They are not too old…they should be in their “prime” I wonder if they have lost an “edge” because their fathers are not here now…pushing pushing pushing.
