As in the past, Stan Kawamoto and crew is running the caddie tent. They set up the caddie activities and offer first class eats every day. The beer keg is a special touch we all appreciate.
Looks like a caddie reunion this week. Tim Atsedes is working for Belen Mozo; Billy Rearden for Shasta Averyhardt; Lane Kjledsen for Kris Tschetter; “Motion” for Dina Ammaccapane; B.O.B. is back full time with Jimin Kang and Louis (mammy-jammy) McIntosh hanging in the caddie tent. “Hatchet” is expected on the weekend.
The annual caddie dinner, putting contest and closest to the pin contest was held yesterday. Good turn-out, good food and a good time for all. At one time, everyone was enjoying the party except Billy. Shasta was working him hard on the range. He kept looking over so Steffler tried to call him. No answer.
Usually, the tournament badges are graced with the mug of last year’s champ but not this week. Michelle Wie is front and center. Ya think having the Nike Campus right down the road had something to do with it?
The changes on eight and nine didn’t speed up the pro-am any. They were thirty minutes behind coming off the front.
