Larry, even with your new glasses you could probably tell what that costume was!!
I know 143 other golfers that would gladly chip in money to let yanni tseng play with the men..lol..she would be a natural out there.
I think Tseng would make the cut.
I don’t see Yani getting an invite to a PGA TOUR event anytime soon, so talk of whether or not she would make a cut is a waste of time.
Regardless of what you think, she will make the cut.
You write…”regardless of what you think…” and then make a declarative statement that has no basis on either fact or experience. What up with dat?
My opinion is that Yani has limited marketability to the LPGA in THIS country and would have less to the PGA. For this reason, there is really no (promotional) upside to her playing against the top male players in the USA.
Missing: I stated before in another thread that Wie gets more TV time than Tseng, while Tseng is the best player in the world, regardless of tour. Of course its about money and markets. As such, she will most likely never get the invitation to play here on US soil. It could happen in Europe, Certainly in Asia. And if it does, I say again, I think she will make the cut. Shooting plus 3 for 2 rounds. So now I ask you, do you think can can make the cut?
I don’t know if she could make the cut!!! There are so many factors that go into ANY golf score.
She probably hits it at least as far as the shortest hitters on the PGA Tour
And she has a good experienced caddie who has caddied on many Tours (worldwide)
So…sure…she could make the cut. There I wrote it. But my point is (yawn) “Who Cares!” and now that Wie is no longer a teenager (double yawn) “Who Cares”
Am I a racist? Is this a racist view? No! It’s a pragmatic one. (look that word up if you are not sure of its’ meaning and try to introduce the concept of pragmatic thinking into your thought processes)
jrboca: I don;t watch the PGA…haven’t in about 3 years. I can’t even name the Major winners this year, or the top 5 on the money list. I follow the LPGA exclusively for my golf entertainment. I like it better. If plus 2-3 can’t cut it on the men’s tour, then equipment sure has gotten better!
Yani wants to learn something from the men, well, if she plays against PGA TOUR players she will learn something.
She belongs on the LPGA tour! 🙂
Tom, i’m playing devils advocate here,, if larry had made that statement, most of the people on here would say it was a racist comment. I believe yanni could play better than anika did, she is much longer then anika and is mentally tougher then Ms Wie.
Frank, you must not watch pga golf in the past 25 yrs but plus 3 for 2 rounds would rarely make a cut on ANY tour these days, so set your sites higher for yani the natural tseng.
To Whom it may Concern’;
jr is spot on with his assissment…If this the person that I think it is..He Knows what he is talking about..jr has been there done that/
