Looks “better” Just seems to be no flow, no swings – west coast/ florida/ northeast etc, Strange date for the british better bring your under armor, I understand with Evian being a major that is dumb to have back to back majors, but this is potentially 4 trips across the pond spring, fall asian and europe – not to mention possibility of Hawaii – girls better be saving their pennies (sponsors or not) thats an expensive scd to play!

  2. Bill Jones says:

Nice to see that they are keeping that space in May for Kingsmill…. wishful thinking…

  3. Awsi Dooger says:

What’s the location of the opening event in southeast Florida, if anyone knows? First I’ve heard of that possibility, in my area.

I’m skeptical about a LPGA Tour stop in SE Florida next January if what Katie Futcher says is correct. The LPGA hasn’t been down this way since Nov 2008. A tournament needs volunteers and if the schedule comes out in January that leaves no time for the organizers to gather the people they need. The news of the new tournament could come out earlier I guess, but there still isn’t a lot of time between now and January 26th. There’s no hint too of the tournament from the local news media.

I do hope the LPGA comes down here.

I’d heard a tourney in Florida, in addition to the Titleholders moved to Naples, could be in the works for Jan of 2013….not this coming Jan. Having one in Jan. 2012 would be impossible, as Bill noted.

Have heard two rumors as to location…one was back in the Orlando area (Reunion?) and another was in the Palm Beach (Trump?) area. However, rumors, rumors, rumors.

Response from Rich Harvest Farms about the “Women’s Western Open” at their site (Looks very untrue):

    Hi M,

Rich Harvest Farms is not hosting the Women’s Western Open in 2011 or 2012. While there is interest from the WWGA, LPGA and RHF to revive the prestigious tournament that once was a major upon the LPGA schedule, a title sponsor has not yet been found and it would be premature to say plans are in the works.

Subject: Are you hosting the LPGA Western Open this year?

Is there a web site for that yet? Are they looking for volunteers, workers, etc.?

Very beautiful site, but more pics of the golf course would be nice! 🙂

    Thanks
