The Grey–Mississippi Style

Just found out from my landlord’s son that we have our own little critter GreyWolf-300x240problem here in the Magnolia State. Apparently, a pack of lobos have taken-up residence next door in the Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge. There’ve been seen prowling outside some of the residences and allegedly have attacked some pets. I was told even the police and animal control won’t go in there looking for them. My occasional pre-dawn commute to work just got a tad more exciting.

It’s been fairly chilly down here in the early morn but not as cold as some places as attested by this post from up north.

So Cold

It’s the Mississippi Valley Red Wolf. They are critically endangered. There may be only 100 left in the wild. It’s a felony even for the police and animal control to do anything to them.

ummm…so I guess they can chew on your leg without any recourse…only in the ‘new’ America does the safety of an animal supercede that of human…

      • Bookem Danno says:

        You reference the “new” America.
I agree. To differentiate us from the “old” America….the one that unilaterally invaded and occupied Iraq….on a whim from that ultimate chicken hawk, “Dick” Cheney.

Unilaterally? Check your history and I don’t mean the revisionist liberal edition. If you wish to talk wars, who was it that got us into Vietnam? Let me guess. It was Nixon, right? There’s plenty of blame to go around.

I love your guy John Kerry though. A true liberal poster-boy. The ultra-rich, photo-op swift-boater who docked his $7 million yacht in Rhode Island to avoid the $500,000 tax in his home state of Massachusetts. What ever happened to paying his “fair share”? Hypocrites all!

      • Frank Michaels says:

yea Bookem…it was an invasion AFTER 18 months of debates and UN Resolutions…like our host said, check your history/facts

Frank, the recourse is … you bite it back.
