MGRC-Post Mortem

The long hours of the MGRC took its toll on the Outside Services staff. A sore knee, aggravated foot injury, aching hip and injured arm were the maladies left behind. I was the only one to remain unscathed. Not even an attack of hemorrhoids after all those hours in the picker.

All those years on tour had placed you in good stead, knowing what and how to do something efficiently or more effectively. Good job Larry.

We are all getting old! I figured I put in about 95 hours at Aviara last week. Good thing I spent half that time driving a golf cart.

I believe this is the last Kraft Nabisco Dinah Shore or whatever you want to call it. Kraft sold the rights to the event to IMG so now it can bail and let IMG find a sponsor and place to play. The event needs to go somewhere where it is supported by the community and not a senior citizen outpost. There are more golf carts then spectators in the mornings. Economic times dictate where it will or will not be moved to, I personally think this event has outlived its usefullness and should be moved. Anyone else from the cheap seats have an opinion?

I wondered if the event was in jeopardy, until the announcement of the International Crown qualifying criteria. The 2014 Kraft was used as the cutoff point so the tour must have indication the event will still be around:

“The final field of 32 players will be determined after the Rolex World Rankings are published on the Monday of the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship week.”
