Belen Mozo birdies the 16th hole to clinch the CROWN for Team Spain. Lot of drama on that hole this weekend.

Despite USA failing to make Sunday, I’d consider this first-year event a great success. Can only imagine the hysteria when it goes to Asia.

“I have a hard time saying I’m going to critique the format so a country or two can make it to Sunday.” – Mike Whan

For those questioning whether or not there needs to be a format change I give you the 1st tee. 2 groups already off

Crown 1st tee on Sunday

Do the no-shows tell the story?

The Biloxi Bay Bridge spans, well, the Biloxi Bay, from Ocean Springs to Biloxi and is about 2.8 miles one way. I do the bridge walk now and then and yesterday morning was one of those times.

It wasn’t anything special except that on the way back one of the walkers took me by surprise.

It was a fireman dressed in full fire-fighting regalia including oxygen mask and tank. Even though it was fairly early, the 86° temperature was punctuated by the oppressive Mississippi humidity so I figured it had to be a probie fulfilling part of a hazing ritual. Why else?

He gave me a wave accompanied by a muffled greeting and went on his way.

Then there was this:

Golf’s demise … tell me about it . I bought some shares in a Limited Partnership in the golf course construction and purchase area and I’ve been sucking wind with that investment. The beginning years were good. But now each quarterly statement brings a NEGATIVE sign.

it was a limited partnership because youre money was going to be limited. scams

No joke … seems the ‘owners’ always seem to eek a little out of the proceeds though … if I said the name here, many golfing folks would know the name of the company …
