Donald Ross Centennial Classic – Round 1

July 7, 2017

My player is Jiayi Zhou.

Shot +3 today along with the other two players in our pairing.

Our group was slow which had a player in the threesome behind give me the business after play. Can’t understand why I was the target of her vitriol since I didn’t hit a shot all day.

I weathered the walk well. Can’t say that for some other loopers.

Our cart diver/scorer’s name was Blink. That’s a new one on me.

Along with the hills, patches of fescue – that haven’t seen a cutting blade it awhile – line some fairways. I managed to find an errant shot in the tall stuff – by a player in our group – by stepping on it. After a ruling, she managed to play it out which saved her the stroke and distance alternative.

Nancy Lopez hit the opening tee shot and also took a turn with one of the hickory drivers.

A spider has made its home behind my passenger mirror since Atlantic City. It spins a web from the mirror to the window in hopes of catching prey. After I knock it down or when it blows away while driving, it faithfully reappears the next morning.

Then there was this:
