Andrew Deardan: Very sad to hear of the passing of Greg Sheridan

Ever since I met Greg back in 1992 I’ve had nothing but the greatest respect for the man and the job he’s done on the LPGA.
He was a mentor to many and one of the most loyal people you could ever meet.
An incredibly good caddy and a thorough pleasure to be drawn out in his group.
He will be a sad loss to the the golfing community and I’m glad he’s finally at peace and pain free.
RIP Greg and thoughts go out to the friends and family you leave behind.

We came from such different places but to common grounds we were. I was in awe of your successes on tour but humble you were. We were friends and we enjoyed lots of fun times and laughs together. For that I am thankful. Thanks for being so nice to me when I was a rookie and all the years after. I am sad, but you no longer are in pain. RIP my friend

Mr Greg Sheridan, was one of the greatest Caddie in the history of the game of golf. True and caring Person, Ask for help, he was right now. I was very lucky to able to study one and understand what a great caddie can do to help the ups and downs. of the game. RIP Greg you will be surely MISSED. Jim Petersen

  2. Chuck Parisi says:

I guess the best compliments a caddie can get from his peers is one of respect and admiration. Greg deserves all the accolades that he receives. When I started in the late 80’s, he was already working for the top players. Until the time I left in 2004, and beyond, he continued to work for the top players. That says it all …. but not only was he a great caddie, he was a wonderful person. RIP Greg, you will be sorely missed by the friends you made all over the world.

  3. Ozzcaddy - Stephen Petrie says:

So sad to wake up and read the news that another great caddie has fallen – Greg Sheridan. No matter who you were or where you came from, he treated everyone equal, and would be there to assist if needed, either on or off the course.

As with Greg’s wit, he was always welcomed down under, in the land of Oz. He was welcomed as one of our own, like many others who have made the long trip over the big pond.

Greg, you will be missed, but Mate, never forgotten.
