Stage 2 Qualifier – Round 3 and 4 – 2019

October 19, 2019

My player is Hyemin Kim.

+3 and –1 respectively. At least Hyemin ended her career with an under-par round. That’s right. Hyemin has packed it in. A guest appearance or two may be in the offing next year but that’s about it.

Hyemin never made it to “the show” but she has no regrets. She knew it would be a difficult road and gave it her all.

During a long lunch at Chick-fil-A (her favorite fast food restaurant), Hyemin expressed her gratitude to everyone for their support, especially her parents. Also, the experiences and friends made along the way will be cherished forever.

I really enjoyed working for Hyemin. She is a unique individual and I wish her the best on whatever path she travels.

I have no plans on working Q-Series. Good luck to all.

My Bushnell Pro X7 laser range finder has bit the dust. It shows all the icons on the initial press of the power button but that’s it. No distance measurements. Changed the battery but still nothing.

Caddies behaving badly: Apparently, at the Buick LPGA Shanghai event, some caddies are covering up the dots of the next day’s hole locations, preventing the following caddies from seeing them. They have been warned to stop immediately or be fined.

Stage 2 Qualifier – Round 1 and 2 – 2019

My player is Hyemin Kim.

Plenty more bogeys than birdies put us out of contention so far. The top thirty and ties move on to Q-Series.

Here’s one way to finance Q-School. Haley Moore has over 33K in donations.

It costs like five grand to come here but the food in player dining doesn’t reflect that fact. Rodney Dangerfield would describe it as low-grade dog food. But who am I to complain? I get to eat free also. Smile

Getting Ready For School

October 8, 2019

It’s almost Stage 2 time and many players are getting in early practice rounds. We played the Panther track yesterday and had plenty of time to chip and putt. Hyemin scheduled the Bobcat for Thursday and will play nine and nine Saturday and Sunday.

Hyemin took ten days off after withdrawing from Prattville and looks like it paid off. Swinging sweet right now.

Mind Muangkhumsakul was DQ’d last week during the Symetra Tour Championship and it could have been a disaster. She was in 10th place on the money list and her LPGA card was in the balance. Luckily, she wasn’t passed but in classic Paul Harvey fashion, do you know the rest of the story? I do.

She whiffed her pro-am time which resulted in the DQ but why? It seems her dad is very strict (well, duh!) on focusing on golf and banned her from having a cell phone. In fact, he didn’t have one either so contacting her was all but impossible.
