Four Winds Invitational – Round 3

June 11, 2018

My player is Min Lee.

While our two playing partners were lighting it up early, we faltered and were two over after eight holes. Then we went on a mini streak. Birdied nine, ten, and eagled eleven. Added one more on sixteen and finished –8 and tied for seventh.

Played with the eventual winner, Maia Schechter. The girl could do no wrong. When she wasn’t stiffing her approach shots, she was making clutch putts for saves with her magic wand. I was impressed.

Staying with Tom Borwick this week at the Econo Lodge. Nice digs with a full compliment of breakfast choices. The word is, there is even some free eats for dinner from 5-7.

Both of us are looking for a loop. Then again, watching The Open is always an option.

-2 today. Moved up the ladder a bit.

Happy birthday to me. They’re starting to add up. Smile

Min’s birthday gift was to shoot my age or under. Just missed it.

Four Winds Invitational – Round 1

June 9, 2018

My player is Min Lee.

Good start. Shot –3.

Perfect weather (while we were playing at least) and they ate it up. Could be an under par cut if things stay the same.

Unfortunately, more boomers in the forecast. It’s going to be a long second round and Sunday doesn’t look much better.

After the drum ceremony prior to the beginning of the first round, the National Anthem was sung by a former American Idol contestant. No one took a knee.

I was the only looper in the group and Min pointed that out on the first tee. Jokingly, I made it known that tips were accepted and received a look of derision and wordless rebuke (kind of a grunt) from one of our playing partners. Hey, it was only a joke, maybe. 🙂 Did get help with some pins from Min, which was nice

Four Winds Invitational–Thursday

Just practice today but touched them all in the Pro-Am yesterday. Great bunch of guys. Beer and cigars all around. Except for me of course.

Picked up Min through my buddy Herr Steffler.

While walking the course on Monday, I had two more offers. Looks like the possibility of open bags are picking up.

There’s a tree in the right rough on the second hole with a dedication plaque.

The Coors can is a permanent fixture. Jon must have been a hell of a guy.

For the second time (once during 2nd Stage and again yesterday), I’ve been sexually assaulted by a player. Both were a slap on the backside. It’s not that I mind but if I reciprocate, they’ll be hell to pay along with jail time.Smile #metoodoitagain
