A Funny Thing Happened…

News from the Symetra Tour from Dave Andrews:

Hey Larry… A very funny caddie story this week at the Symetra Tour event here in Concord. I was the "caddie master" for the event. I assigned one of my golfing buddies, Andy Pepin, and he was caddying for Stephanie Na.
In the second round on Saturday she was hitting a shot from a tree line. Her ball hit a tree and ran up into the branches. As everyone was watching to see where it went, the ball dropped down from the tree and landed right in the pocket of Andy’s caddie bib. He never saw it coming. Talk about your unplayable lies. Stephanie had to take a one shot penalty for hitting her own equipment (Andy) with her shot. However she made the cut. That is one for the books. We all (including Stephanie) had a good laugh over it.

Back at Fallen Oak: Over the weekend, I’ve was instructed on the fine art of opening shop by the master himself, Tex. Also included in my education was how to police the range both mechanically and manually. All this after I completed a single loop which started at eight and finished before eleven.

Today and tomorrow are days off. Unfortunately, car maintenance was on today’s agenda. The pig will have to wait before its next feeding.

Then there was this:

Absolute madness, says R&A chief of unlikely caddie Tevez

Belly putters back on radar for golf’s rules officials

Adam Scott’s meltdown is commonplace among this generation of golfing chokers

Trickle-down effect might already be in the works‘More Chinese youngsters are expected to seize the opportunity…"

Larry, are you the “elder statesman” or the most experience to be given the job of opening and range policing!

anyone know what caddie yanni hired ? 76 is not a good score on that birdiefest of a course. I would guess she brought in some pga caddie….

      Tweet from Beth Ann Baldry:
Basil Van Rooyen will be looping for Yani Tseng at the Evian Masters. The veteran caddie is a regular on the PGA Tour.

Me thinks he previously looped for Big John Daly…

So what does that make him a superstar, because he’s a caddie on the PGA Tour.

basil’s nickname is “thirsty” you know what i mean. , why is it that all of the lpga caddies who go to the pga tour seem to do well. we do good jobs. if he had a steady loop out there he wouldn’t be at evian. they all blow smoke up somebody’s ass.

    • carl says:

Well said Scraper. You do have a way with words.

    • bocajr says:

In the words of Rodney King, “can’t we all just get along”. I’m still unemployed on The L, it will start to jump after Evian, from my keyboard to a players text. I think that used to be, from my lips to Gods ear.
